At the University Hospitals of Geneva (HUG), in pediatrics, members of PACTS have developed innovative approaches to make hospital care gentler and more reassuring for children. This consultation is particularly aimed at phobic children, those living with an autism spectrum disorder, and those with chronic illnesses. Using appropriate techniques and personalized care, the team works to minimise stress and create a climate of trust, both for the young patients and their families. The aim is to provide care (blood tests, vaccinations, radiology examinations, dental assessments, etc.) that is respectful, caring and soothing, while taking into account the specific needs of each child.
